Foundation at Texas Tech University

We want to welcome you to Texas Tech! Get excited about beginning a completely new and crazy experience that will be one of the best times of your life. If you are looking for an amazing way to kick off your college experience, then Foundation is the place for you!

Foundation is a four-day retreat for incoming students to Tech and is staffed by 144 Tech students who passionately love the Lord. Having all been freshmen before, we know that the transition into college can be tough and create the need for a sense of purpose on campus and in life. Foundation is a great opportunity for you to catch a glimpse of what college should be like. Through an amazing camp experience, you will grow your faith in the Lord and build strong relationships with your peers through the common bond of Jesus Christ. This will give you a solid Foundation before school starts and equip you with the necessary tools to pursue Christ throughout college.

Foundation is a great way to meet tons of new people before school even begins! Even better, you will meet other students who desire to pursue and strengthen their relationships with Christ in college. Come to one of our two camps and meet your future best friends and roommates. Sign up online today! We'll see you in August!

Foundation is a wonderful way to start your years at Tech with a community of believers seeking Christ. Everyone on staff has been in your place not too long ago. Come hear from us how we've experienced God's grace at Tech.

2 camps. 1 vision. All the glory to God!

What We Believe

There is one eternal God consisting of three persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Trinity). God created us in His own image, but we rebelled (sin) and a separation was formed between God and us.

In order to restore a people to Himself God has sent His son Christ Jesus in the form of man. Through Christ's perfect life, His death, and resurrection He has conquered sin and through faith in Him, His righteousness now counts for us. This means that our sins are forgiven and we stand fully accepted by God and that there is nothing we can do to make Him love us more or less.

The Holy Spirit now resides in us as a seal to the grace that has been worked in our lives. Therefore we confess that out only hope is in Christ alone, and so for us this means that our desires, hopes, and passions are continually being conformed to His.
