Ceta Canyon
As you drive north from Lubbock towards Amarillo and turn off onto a road that goes on for miles and miles, one might be wondering just where this camp is and how on earth they survive in the West Texas flat lands. It's not until you take a left and plunge down into a beautiful canyon that looks as if it popped up out of nowhere that you realize just what's in store. Ceta Canyon is a beautiful oasis dedicated to Christian camps and retreats year-round. We'll worship together in the Tabernacle, eat loud, themed meals in the chow hall, and cover every piece of grass there is during rec games and small groups. Everyone will meet in Lubbock and we'll all bus out to Ceta together. The day we get back to Lubbock will actually be move in day for the dorms, so you can go straight from making new friends at camp to having new friends in college! Pretty cool, huh? We can't wait to have a blast and a half with you at Omega Camp!

Transportation
We want to help you make it to camp!
ALPHA CAMP:
- Drive: Rather than meet at a central location, you have the option to drive yourself to camp and leave your vehicle on the campgrounds during the week. Many of our Alpha campers choose this option. If you choose to do so, plan for checking in at camp between 2pm and 4pm.
- Bus: If you are from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we have buses to Alpha Camp for you. Send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. letting us know you are interested in riding the bus.
- Carpool: Check out our Facebook page and feel free to get in contact with other campers in your area! We encourage carpooling with friends (new or old) to and from camp! Email us if you'd like us to connect you with someone from your area!

Directions to Alpha Camp
From Houston:
Take 290 to Austin, go North on Hwy 183 to FM 1431 in Cedar Park. In Cedar Park, go West (left) on 1431. Balcones Springs is 24.2 miles from Cedar Park. As you leave Lago Vista, 1431 becomes a two lane road, and you are 12.2 miles from Balcones Springs. As you approach the 12th mile, look for Balcones Springs on the left side of the road, directly across from “Scooter’s Bend” convenience store. If you pass RR 1174, you have missed the turnoff by about 2 miles.
From Austin:
Take Hwy 183 North to FM 1431 in Cedar Park, go West (left) on 1431 to Balcones Springs (24.2 miles). As you leave Lago Vista, 1431 becomes a two lane road, and you are 12.2 miles from Balcones Springs. As you approach the 12th mile, look for Balcones Springs on the left side of the road, directly across from “Scooter’s Bend” convenience store. If you pass RR 1174, you have missed the turnoff by about 2 miles.
OMEGA CAMP:
- Take Our Bus: Take our bus to and from camp! This is the most recommended transportation option. Riding the bus is a lot of fun and a great way to start meeting some new amazing friends before you even get to camp! If you are riding the bus, check-in will begin at 12pm at the Jones Stadium. Most students leave their cars parked at the stadium for the duration of camp. The parking lot will be monitored by campus police. We do realize however, that there may be certain things you don't feel comfortable leaving in your car for 4 days! We will offer a drop-off during check-in for such items to be kept safe during camp. They will be returned to you upon your arrival back at the Jones parking lot after camp.
- Airport Shuttle: Fly into Lubbock on Wednesday morning and we will come pick you up at the airport. Look for some crazy people at baggage! If you do book a flight, please make sure it lands in Lubbock by 12:30pm and email us with your flight information.
- Need a Place to stay?: If you need a place to stay a day or two before camp email us and we can get you set up with some temporary housing with staff members!
- On Campus Parking: If you are taking our bus, we will be parking in the Jones Stadium Parking Lot. The parking lot will be monitored by Campus Police to ensure the safety of items within your car.
- Drive Yourself/Parent's Drop Off: Drive yourself to Ceta Canyon and meet us there! If your parents drop you off, you have the option to check on your registration that you would like to ride the bus back to campus with all your new friends, or have your parents pick you up after. If you are meeting us at Ceta, check-in will begin at 3:30pm!

From Amarillo:
Take I-27 south to exit #94 toward Wayside. Go east (left) on FM 285 for 8 miles until you see signs for the camp. Go north 2.5 miles into the camp. (Office is accross from the mailboxes)
From Lubbock:
Take I-27 north to exit #94 toward Wayside. Go east (right) on FM 285 for 8 miles until you see signs for the camp. Go north 2.5 miles into the camp. (Office is accross from the mailboxes)
From Vernon:
From US-287 take US-86 west. Follow the signs to TX-207 and head North. Go west on FM 285 past Wayside until you see signs for the camp. Go north on FM 1721 2.5 miles into the camp. (Office is accross from the mailboxes)

Alpha Camp
The Retreat at Balcones Springs
The Retreat at Balcones Springs is nested in the beautiful Texas hill country with trees and a lake that add to its appeal. We'll have worship overlooking the lake, Rec games all over camp, and cozy, air conditioned cabins to relax in after a long day's play. The camp's central location provides good travel time from all the major cities in Texas including Austin, San Antonio, the DFW area, and Houston. Both of our amps are identical in schedule, just in different places! For those who are rushing Greek, joining the Goin' Band, or live close by: this camp might be a less stressful option than our second camp. We will be providing bus rides to and from the Dallas area, so stay tuned for more information on that. Our giddiness grows everyday- we can't WAIT to see you at Alpha camp!
