Campus House of Prayer

Throughout the history of the church, praying people and sacred spaces have been catalysts that have changed everything. Christianity was birthed out of the disciples gathering to pray in the upper room in Acts 2. In the 1700s the Moravians launched a prayer meeting that ended up lasting 100-years and changing the world. God is calling the church all over the world to pray radically as never before. 24-7 Prayer USA is just one expression of that world-wide calling. Prayer rooms are for people of all ages, denominations and race. A sacred, neutral space can become a place of unity for the body of Christ. In a busy world that never stops, a quiet space set aside to be still with God is helpful to our frenzied souls. Prayer rooms can become creative spaces, where we can worship through art and creating with our Creator. The university campuses in/of America held a 2010 Year of Prayer that involved students from over 175 colleges and universities. Collectively, they logged 26,000 hours of prayer. Texas Tech is one of those campuses.  We have been in several locations over the last three years.  We long to have a space dedicated as a campus house of prayer that is always available to students to come and pray and meet with the Lord. For the Spring semester of 2012, we will be praying for one week per month at a house on the corner of Ave X and Broadway.  For more information feel free to call Jill Hurley at 806-831-2919, Hunter Davis at 806-392-5832 or Bess Caldwell at 806-789-2831.
